I think once a week depending on entry cost.
I completely agree with you, but the only issues if we do it too often will be that the turnout won’t be as good, meaning the cost will go up… If we can do it twice a month at least with a good turnout of people that would be perfect in my opinion or even once a month to get things rolling and we can always increase things as we go.
Yeah, affording the entry fee and tires every week would be impossible for most. I think once every 3-4 months would be perfect.

I think that trying to do them anymore then once a month would be too much of a stress.
First of all you have to sort a venue and then you have to try to keep it fresh.
Second you have to compete with the SCCA, Firebird, and MMP schedules. If you want to diversify your turn out you have to look outside of the 4 or 5 people that will show up every time.
It’s awesome to see some sort of movement in this.
we won’t be competeing with any other organizations as far as venues because as of right now all events will be held at meridian speedway. we are working on securing a second location this week.

i think this poll has done a pretty good job, of not only seeing what everyone thinks of scheduling, but also a head count…… unless you guys are voting more than once….
to pull these events off at a reasonable price we need to have 20-30 drivers!
i’m also trying to find out if meridian speedway has a mount and balance machine!

Srsly. Once a month tops. Tires are expensive and the same goes for entrance fees. Not many people I know can slap down the cash every 2 weeks for this. And at once a month, it will be like a getting ready period of a month, then everyone will want to come that day.

how about start off with scheduled events every other month, and if the interest is there, schedule one once a month.
The “events” are practice sessions. We might do a few actual Competition Events this year, but this is for the practice events at the speedway so we can get people to learn how to drift so we can have events. Otherwise it will be like utah… everyone just trying to drift…
