Are helmets absolutely required?

A DOT Approved Helmet is required for Driver and All Passangers.

The helmets will be inspected before events while the car inspection is being taken care of.

Must I have all lugnuts present and functioning to drive?

Yes.

We cannot stress this enough. If you are missing lugnuts you will not be allowed on the track.

Are there any specific rules when it comes to car batteries?

  • Battery must be tied down with stock or better bracket (zip ties/bungee cords do NOT count).
  • If the battery has been re-located from the stock position, it must be secured in a safe manner and sealed in a marine style battery box.

Are cages required to attend?

No. Cages aren’t required for the most of the practice and open track day events. If the drivers are planning on running tandem in practice a roll bar with door bars is required and the cage must pass prior inspection.

For more technical information about cages and specs please visit the tech page.

Am I allowed to run Coolant in my Radiator?

Yes. Coolant is allowed, although we would prefer that most drivers use water in their car’s cooling system. In case of an accident coolant clean up can be a lot more dangerous and a lot more time consuming and water can just dry out. Also, water tends to perform better at hot day track conditions. If drivers are tandeming without a crash bar, water is preferred but not required.
