Hellaflush BBQ The Bay

While I was back in Cali, I caught wind that Fatlace was throwin’ a BBQ at Coyote Point in San Mateo, CA. What else was I gonna do on a Saturday morning? I pulled up to a parking lot that was packed with some of the cleanest cars I had ever seen. As I was grabbing my camera out of the car I spotted a whole pack of bagged Audi’s. Every color Audi ever made sitting on some of the nicest Works and HRE’s known to man.

After checking out some of the cars in the parking lot, I finally made my way up to the BBQ area. It was a little bit of a hike to get up to the “Captain’s House”, but it was definitely worth it. Everything you would expect to see at a HF gathering and then some. Everything from a Nissan Cefiro, to a pair of super aggressive Scion TCs.

After making a few laps and chatting with some of the guys, the park rangers showed up and started threatening to tow cars and kick people out. Apparently park rangers don’t like it when people do burnouts inside of a state park. Before things could get better or worse I decided to take off and head over to the Fatlace storefront on Post St. in San Francisco. It was only about a 20 minute drive. I checked out all of the fresh Fatlace and Illest gear and then made my way across the street to the Japan Center Mall. Once inside, I made my way over to Auto Freak. Auto Freak is the place to find all of your genuine JDM knick knacks, along with all of the dopest car related DVDs.

I had a great time and for more pictures from the BBQ checkout:

Quick recap from Sunday’s DDay Event.

The event went great, with a few issues in the way that we managed to overcome by the end of the day. We ended up getting few more people than we anticipated on the track and seems like everyone was either taking photos or shooting video. If you have photos and want us to post them on here please email them to mirko@boisedrift.com and I will add them to the group.

You can find some of the photos in the event album on our facebook page, and while you are at it make sure you “like” boisedrift on facebook to keep updated on the latest news.
